Jersey Long-Term Care scheme (FOI)
Jersey Long-Term Care scheme (FOI)Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by Government of Jersey and published on 18 May 2022.
Prepared internally, no external costs.
We are looking to obtain an indication of the standard local authority fees Jersey Council pays for eligible elderly people in care homes or, if no standard flat rate is paid, an indication of the minimum / maximum / average rates paid for each category of care listed below.
This is normally information that the local Commissioning Team or Adult Social Care Finance Team are able to supply.
2022 / 23 financial year rates:
- Personal care / residential, elderly frail
- Personal care / residential, elderly dementia
- Nursing, elderly frail
- Nursing, elderly dementia
Please could you also state if your quoted nursing fees are inclusive or exclusive of the current NHS-funded nursing care (FNC) contribution.
Jersey is not a UK council, UK local authority or part of the NHS. Financial assistance towards the cost of long-term care can be sought through the Jersey Long-Term Care scheme.
Long-Term Care support is paid according to someone's care needs and financial circumstances. This is capped by law.
Long-Term Care benefit is available to everyone with an assessed care need once they reach the care costs cap (a limit on how much someone will spend on standard care fees in their lifetime.)
