Your payments are due monthly by the 15th of the following month. For example, payment of October contributions is due by 15 November.

You may pay any amount using your debit or credit card, subject to your card issuer terms and conditions. We don't accept American Express, Diners or Electron.

A direct debit can't be used to pay your Class 1 contributions.

You can use our automated telephone payment system to pay for Class 2 contributions or instalments. This is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. We don't accept American Express, Diners or Electron.

Pay by cheque
Your cheque must be made payable to the 'Treasurer of the States'.
Class 1 contributions
You must detail your employer reference number
on the back of your cheque and the month you're paying, for example, October 2022. You can find your employer reference number on your statement.
Class 2 contributions
You must detail your social security number on the back of your cheque and the month you're paying, for example, October 2022.
Telephone and internet banking payments

You must always include your employer reference number as the reference to your payment. You can find your reference number on your statement.
