ArtHouse Jersey is partially funded by the Government to provide a seed funding programme for the arts community in Jersey.

Other sources of funding

As well as the Jersey Arts Trust, there are many different charitable organisations and trusts which may support different aspects of the arts.

The One Foundation

Established in June 2011, the foundation is a charitable organisation benefiting sport, education, culture and community projects in Jersey. It provides professional support and financial assistance to individuals, teams, non-profit making organisations and community based projects. If you're an individual seeking support for the arts, you must apply via the Jersey Arts Trust.

The Rivington Trust

The Rivington Trust provides funding to Jersey residents to travel off-Island to cultivate their passion for arts, crafts or history. If you feel this is you, and you require financial support to make your trip possible, please email

The Rivington is managed by the Government of Jersey, with administration supported by ArtHouse Jersey. 

The four application deadlines each year are:

  • 1 February
  • 1 May
  • 1 August
  • 1 November

The John Lobb Trust

The John Lobb Memorial Trust was founded in 1981 “to assist young people who have been educated wholly or partly in Jersey and have attained the age of fifteen years and show promise in some form of music generally and intend to pursue a career in music”.

Jenny Clark Memorial Trust

The Paul Brown Memorial Fund

Supports Jersey born or Jersey educated musicians (under the age of 35) who are likely to make a career or pursue a life-long interest in music. (The trust does not normally support the core costs of undergraduate study).

The Olive Brown Bursary

The Olive Brown Bursary, established and administered by ArtHouse Jersey, supports students involved in the performing arts. Applications are open from January until the end of June and interviews take place in July or August. The bursary is awarded once a year for one student for £1,000 for each year of their course. To apply you must have been continuously resident in Jersey for at least 2 years immediately before applying.

Barreau Art Scholarship

The purpose of the Barreau Art Scholarship, which is administered by the Société Jersiaise, is to help the study of fine art in the form of painting, engraving, sculpture, architecture, decorative design, film or photography. 

The Averil Picot Scholarship

The Averil Picot Scholarship Fund was founded by the late Averil Picot in 1955 to give scholarships to students to study art at college and university. The Société Jersiaise, the trustee of the fund, administers the scholarship.
