PCR testing information
Government of Jersey PCR testing for the general public has ended. Lateral Flow Tests for home use are available to purchase.
If you need a PCR test for example to travel, this service is provided by certain Pharmacies or GP practices. They will provide COVID negative test certificates with a QR code.
If you're a clinician in primary or secondary care you can order a PCR as a diagnostic test.
Lateral Flow Testing (LFTs)
From 1st August 2023, Government of Jersey provision of LFTs will cease.
LFTs are available to purchase online or from local pharmacies and most supermarkets.
Self-diagnostic testing for COVID-19 is no longer recommended. If you are unwell you should stay home until you feel better, or contact your GP for further advice.
Taking a lateral flow test involves taking a sample using a swab.
There are different types of test kits for sale that have different processes. Make sure you read the instructions that come with your test kit.
