About the Early Years Policy Development Board
The Early Years Policy Development Board was established to examine the provision of Early Years services from conception to aged 5 and to develop a shared strategic policy position across Early Years. This included ensuring all children have the best start, proposals for Early Education and Care in Jersey and the delivery of an Early Help offer for children and families.

The work of the board was published throughout 2019 and 2020.
On 28 September 2021 the final report was published and the Board was formally closed by the Council of Ministers.

Early Years Engagement Event
About the event
This was organised by the Early Years Policy Development Board (EYDB), bringing together Parents, professionals and providers of Early Years services.
The sessions were held to generate as much local insight as possible to help the Early Years Development Board develop future policy.
The invited audience worked together during the morning session to identify priorities for future policy development with two drop-in sessions for islanders during the afternoon and early evening.

Prioritisation workshop
The Early Years Policy Development Board considered all the output from the engagement event to identify next steps and priority work streams using
this criteria.
After detailed deliberation at the workshop, the Board agreed a way forward which is outlined in the work plan below.
