Connect Me: Connecting Our Communities Grant Scheme

The scheme is closed

The Connect Me grant scheme is closed to new applications.

All applicants will receive an update by Tuesday 19 July 2022.

Additional rounds will be announced based on interest and availability of funds.

About the scheme

The Connect Me: Connecting our Communities Grant Scheme is a Government of Jersey initiative.

Its objective is to provide opportunities for Jersey residents to participate in arts and physical activities. The scheme aims to improve some of the physical and mental health impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and related isolation.

Grants of up to £5,000 are available for projects which will increase opportunities for Jersey residents to participate in arts or physical activities.

The scheme is administered by Customer and Local Services (CLS).

Who can apply

All organisations with experience in providing opportunities for islanders to participate in arts or physical activities can apply. Funds are made available for projects which will expand these opportunities but will not support the usual operational budget of any applicant.

The suitability of each project and organisation will be considered by the applications panel. Contact us if you want to know if your organisation or project is eligible.

No project is guaranteed funding and we reserve the right to deny any application.

We have kept the application criteria as open as possible to receive a wide range of creative project proposals.

An independent panel will assess applications and award projects which deliver the greatest benefits across the scheme’s 4 aims.

These aims are:

  • engage a large cross section of the Jersey community in arts or physical activity aimed at enhancing sustainable wellbeing over the next 2 years
  • increase participation in the arts or physical activity across the whole population. Especially amongst groups most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic
  • provide a means for Government to progress towards the delivery of the strategic objectives outlined in the:
    • Common Strategic Policy, Government Plan
    • Jersey Care Model
    • Arts Strategy
    • Heritage Strategy
    • Inspiring an Active Jersey Strategy
  • stimulate the creative economy by providing coordinated work for creatives and arts practitioners
